Our Unique Reach & Wash System Insurance
Alexander Swan Insurance Services Ltd were first introduced into the Window Cleaning Industry back in 2003. We were approached by Ionic Systems Ltd and asked if we could provide an insurance policy for the Reach and Wash System.
After many years of research and development we created a unique scheme underwritten by Zurich Insurance Plc that offered superb cover at reasonable premiums.
To link with the water fed pole system cover, we also developed a panel of van insurers that would accept the modification of the water fed pole system permanently fitted inside the vehicle.
To further enhance our suite of window cleaner specific policies we also launched a Public and Employers Liability policy which covers “scratched glass” and various other additional benefits.
Closely followed by a Personal Accident policy particularly beneficial for self-employed window cleaners.

Our Replacement Reach & Wash Vehicle Service
In 2007, a couple of our long-standing clients were without their Reach and Wash fitted vehicles during their claim process, and they found it impossible to source one for hire. We also made some enquiries on their behalf and equally had no luck.
This discovery led us to purchase our own van and fit it with a Reach and Wash System, enabling Alexander Swan to provide an added value service to our window cleaning clients, whilst we take care of their insurance claim.
Whether a theft, or an accident where the vehicle is off the road due to repairs or write off, we wanted to offer a solution.
Understanding how vital the Van and Water Fed Pole System is to window cleaners, securing the correct cover for the van and water fed pole equipment was our mission.
It soon became equally important for us to provide a Replacement Reach and Wash Vehicle to ensure our clients remain on the road and working during their claim.

We have seen growth and a higher demand, so we have increased our fleet of Reach and Wash Vehicles, to ensure we can sustain our excellent and flawless reputation of “Keeping your Business Flowing”! The Replacement Reach and Wash Vehicles have been owned via our sister company A S Vehicle Hire Ltd since 2015.
