Introducing our Account Executive – Clare Slater
In the second series of our ‘meet the team’ spotlight we catchup with Clare Slater who tells us about her longstanding role as Account Executive at Alexander Swan.
Tell us a little bit about your background and career so far.
I was 16 when I began my career in insurance and I have been with Alexander Swan for 19 years. I mainly deal with our specialist products and services for the window cleaning industry, tradesman, property owners and commercial customers.
What do you like most about your current role?
The thing I like most about my role is building rapports and speaking to my customers. My colleagues and clients say that I am always friendly and cheerful on the phone, and whilst insurance may not be everybody’s favourite subject, I add a touch of sparkle to our conversations.
What do you bring to the team?
I cheated a little on this question and asked the team what they thought. They say I bring laughter, warmth and I’m a ray of sunshine. That sounds about right, as I do believe a sprinkle of humour not only helps create a positive work environment, but also makes the experience more enjoyable for our clients.
How does the team work together and what do you achieve for your clients?
We are a close-knit work family, there is open communication, and we all help each other. It’s very comforting to know that if I am ever on holiday or not in the office for any reason, my clients will still be looked after by my colleagues. We very much use each person’s strengths to achieve our shared goal which is to deliver excellent service to our clients.
What does the future here look like for you?
I am very happy in my role and I am excited about the new niches we are developing. I am looking forward to the next 20 successful years with Alexander Swan.
What interests you outside of work?
I love to spend time with my children, listening to music, attending music gigs and socialising with my friends.
